Banigan honors the knowledge, artistry, and patience of Libertad's mat weavers. From carefully prepared palm leaves emerge intricate mats, hats, bags, slippers, costumes, and contemporary pieces that carry local stories into the future.
Festival days bring together street dancing, cultural performances, weaving demonstrations, exhibits, food, and the welcoming spirit of Libertad's communities.
